V-Zug is a kitchen and laundry appliance manufacturer from Switzerland. They have an IOT App to control their ovens and washing machines with all possible devices. I was an employee and User Experience Designer for Notch Interactive in Zürich during that project. V-Zug contacted Notch Interactive because they needed a cleaner and more intuitive app to improve the interaction between the users and the appliances. The app was restructured and we had to improve the user interface based on the user research that was done before. We came up with two clean designs in a stylish dark pattern for the ovens and in all white one for washing machines. The first design copies the textures of the different appliances and uses them as background images. The second one uses more emotional photos from everyday situations like cooking or washing.
